I'm not sure what to do about your request for Lovecraftian races and classes since i'm not sure whether you want races and classes for a 1920s setting or a normal D&D setting with Lovecraftian elements. The kraken statistics work well for Cthulhu or a similar being. I don't think I need to tell you what undead are perfect for similar undead. The undead have been seen in various Lovecraft stories (my favorite is "Herbert West: Renimator"). If you've read "The Shadow Over Innsmouth", these fishlike humanoids are perfect for replecating the deformed population of Innsmouth. What's not to like (despite their low intelligence)? Mind flayers are almost perfect for a Lovecraftion monster. They are aquatic, have tentacles, and are often found in ancient ruins. Chuuls are the first monster that comes to my mind when I think of Lovecraftian horror in D&D. If you are looking for Lovecraftian-based monsters, magic items, spells, etc., I would be happy to help! I am assuming you are familiar with at least Lovecraft's most famous works (Call of Cthulhu Herbert West: Reanimator or the Shadow Over Innsmouth).įor monsters, almost any abberation will do.
